Okay - I bought a mare and don't have a clue how to pick her up. Didn't expect to buy anything but she's the sister to another mare we have and she was a steal (and in foal). I've contacted the auction site and other places but don't have a clue....any suggestions???

Thought about looking into shipping her here? Horse transport companies criss-cross the US all the time. You might could call a few and find out how direct a route you could get to you, and how expensive it would be. I don't know how close she is to her due date, but I've had horses shipped to shows with no problems, and have heard good things from other people who have dealt with shippers across many states when buying horses. Just an option you can look into. I have someone that wil pick her up Tuesday or Wednesday, BUT this was at an auction. I'm terrified that everyone wil pack up and leave her there. I've got lots of people working on it....all I need is an overnight stay. Angie is ready to go get her, but can't leave until tonight as she's working today.

Check into horse hotels international they might have a place close and someone might be able to go pick her up for an additional fee

;D Got it handled...breathing a sigh of relief. Thanks so much for the suggestions and phone calls.
She went back to the farm that consigned her, WindFlight. She's familiar with the farm since it's been her home since birth, and that allows her a couple days to unwind from the stress of the auction.
Then the transport company will pick her up on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week and bring her straight to me. The transport company is based in SC so it works great for them too.
Thanks again - she's posted on the foaling dates page along with my other new horse that's coming in from North Dakota!!!! Yee ha - 12 mares to go for MRF.

Ummmm...where? I didn't see anyone 'new' but Sobe. And I only counted 9 for you including Splash. Who am I missing? And glad you have it all worked out!
