I just got done reading all your wonderful replies!! Thank you!! Our family has learned so much from you all here at mare stare!! Hugs to you all. I don't think we would have done such a good job if we hadn't been on here and learned from you all. Thank you to all of you and those who are willing to have cams up and let us witness the miracle of birth!! That is how I learned all that I did and was prepared for Buttercup's birth. We did have a blanket for him, but unfortanetly it was too big. LOL But, thank the Lord, it wasn't that cold during the night. He survived just fine. During the night tonight it is supposed to be around 40. So, for that I am grateful. However, I looked on weather site on here and there is rain and thunder coming our way tomorrow night and I am praying hard that God will chang that because he will only be 2 days old and Buttercup will not go in the shelter but only to get hay!! She stands out in the rain and snow and I was hating that!! I just hope she will continue to be a good momma and bring him in the shelter. We shall see. I already told my hubby I know I will be upset and wanting to go out there and get him in the shelter!! LOL But, I know as soon as I would leave Buttercup would come out and then Trigger would come out too. So, I am praying hard!! I will give lots of hugs to him from you all!! I will make sure to tell him they are from his mare stare group that helped bring him here safely!! Ashleigh and Amber both deserve a HUGE hug and alot of credit. They did great during his birth. This is an experience they both wont forget. (Neither will I ~ what a miracle it was to see that) I am glad we kept an eye on her. I truly believe that saved his life. We got out there in the field when we realized something might be up and as soon as the feet and head were out the sac didn't break so Ash had to do it for him. Then, Buttercup just couldn't seem to push him out by herself. So, Ash had to grab his legs and help pull as she pushed!! If we weren't watching I don't know what might have happened. I know some people kept telling us we needed to stop watching, that she wont foal if we watch, but I am so glad we didn't listen. God is good!! I did upload some more pics on that photobucket site. We would love for you to go take a looksee!! The link again is: s2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/ttjab3/use password trigger. Take care, God Bless, Tari
