My favorite mare, Shanza

Shanza will be coming up on cam soon. She's due May 31st and I'm a little concerned about her because of her size and signs. She's very large, to the point that we had her ultrasounded to make sure it wasn't twins. They saw a very active foal, but only saw one. She has a bag, but is only testing 1 square and the bag isn't huge. She has taken to being alone and wanting all my attention - which I love!

Something else you need to know about Shanza is that she's mouthy - I don't mean that she bites or she's noisy, but she always has her tongue hanging out - she's very licky - we have more photos of her licking than anything - in fact it's hard to get a normal photo of here....for instance....

I said smile for the camera and she did this...


Then she saw Rowdy smiling for the camera so she stuck her tongue out at Rowdy......

Oh, my goodness! She is so cute, tongue and all. Hope she has enough growing room in there to last till the end of May. I can see why she is a favorite.

I know - she's huge and she scares the fool out of me. She's so miserable.

Angie and I were going over breeding dates and we keep hoping that I was a month off.....all I can do is pray for a good outcome.

She's an absolute sweetheart - just a joy to be around.

Now you know Heather...Shanza is one of my favorites too! But she was big last year.. ;D But she was overdue too. We would stroke and pray and love..and she would just LOVE it! LOL!!! remember!?

I sure hope she is ok. I will be thinking of her and of course you guys. I need to come chat with her and tell her all will be ok!!

Speaking of pictures with her tongue out! Remember this one!! TOO FUNNY! It was like she was sticking her tongue out at Cinny and Brown Sugar. We were "fixing" her hair. ROFL!!! And she was showing it off. ;D

She is very cute though. I dream of a day when I have a mini who loves me like that. To want your attention and lick you at that!! How precious.
