We have been doing foal watch on a mare at our barn for just under 4 weeks by a day! She lost her mucus plug over 4 weeks ago, and her due date was April 18th, she had a lovely filly around 8:30pm May 5th 2006

CONGRATS!!!!!! Can't wait to see photos. Funny you should mention the mucus plug because Dakam's mare, Riley lost hers and still went for a couple weeks before she foaled. I always thought that when they lost that - it was time!!
Guess I'm still learning!!!

Heather,
You are correct, my vet told me after Riley lost hers it could be up to 10 days. She fooled us all. Kind of funny though, my vet was scratching his head. HAhahahha.

Thanks Jen...I was just wondering because the site is listed on the pictures, do you have them posted over there too? I notice they have a section for horse pictures, although not all the pictures are horses...the one of the tatooed man, well, he probably just thinks he's a stud...lol

its a big message board that has more than breeding stuff, but the breeding info is more limited than here. Yes I do have them posted there too Thanks Jen...I was just wondering because the site is listed on the pictures, do you have them posted over there too?
