I'm seriously considering buying a mare that is possibly pasture bred for a 2007 foal...(I know, glutton for punishment!! lol) she is sorrel, and the stud she has been running with for the last 3 months is a paly pinto...what are the color combinations I should expect from this cross? I saw a website posted on one of the message boards a while back with color combo's, but I cant find it now....and help would be greatly appreciated!!

Your welcome, but she'll probably respond sometime tomorrow... I believe she lives in Great Britian or some where in Europe. She's helped me out a lot on guessing what I'll get off of my mares. Hope you can hold your anticipation long enough... LOL!

I dont know, I'm pretty excited about this mare...she's a tiny refined 27.75" mare and the stud is 28"...so whatever the foal is, its sure to be a tiny one!! I'll make up my mind on her Tuesday after seeing more pics of her and talking more with the owner...the color of the foal isnt really an issue (if indeed she did breed with the stud...but after 3 months of running with him, the possiblity is great!) I'm just the curious kind!! lol

According to Color Foal......
Sire: Palomino - Tobiano Dam: Chestnut
25.000% chance of Palomino - Tobiano 25.000% chance of Chestnut 25.000% chance of Palomino 25.000% chance of Chestnut - Tobiano
MaryKansas! I didn't know you had horses; let alone minis! Yee Ha! Does that mean that you'll have a cam next year too??? Can I recommend a really cool site??? (haha)
It'd be great if you bought her....I'd love to see photos!

Guilty as charged Heather!! As of right now, I only have 1 yearling sorrel filly. Her name is Acacia Blossoms (aka Casey) and she is being boarded at FNB (Thank You Franny!!!) , but not for much longer...then she will be home with us!! We've been trying to get another mini to go along with her, but sadly, the mare we had chosen to buy a filly from in utero reabsorbed over the winter So I'm on the lookout once again. Franny is going to let me bring one of her mini's home with us until we can find another mate for Casey (sort of a rent-a-pet....without the rent!! LOL)...Franny is awesome!! Hopefully, the mare that I'm interested in turns out to be all I hope for! With the sire being paly pinto...is there a chance I could get a pinto baby? I love the pintos!! I'm partial to sorrel too As soon as I know for sure that I'll be getting this mare, I'll be sure to post some pictures!! As far as a cam next year, well.... I've never foaled out a mare before, so I may have to send her off to FNB Foaling Ranch!! And we can all watch on Franny's cam!! LOL Some day I will have a cam....yep, someday!! And I may even have to get a few coffee cups with my farm logo on them

Okay, I have Chev's response:
Mare is ee, no cream, no pinto, nothing else; she can only give e to a foal.
Stallion is either ee Crcr Tt or ee Crcr TT - we don't know which. The Cr is teh cream gene, the T is the tobiano pattern.
If he has one copy of T, he will pass e on to the foal (foal will be chestnut based) and then there's a 50% chance he'll pass on cream, and a 50% chance he'll pass on tobiano. So you have a chance of chestnut (sorrel), palomino, chestnut pinto, or palomino pinto.
If he has two copies of T he will definitely pass the pattern on; so it's a more simple 50% chance of chestnut pinto and 50% chance of palomino pinto.
