Updated.....I'm going to post this on the other board too......
I emailed the owner of the twins and she has responded with this...
Hi Heather,
Currently the twins and mom are in the hospital. The filly got navel ill (one of the common occurences in twins they tell me) and is in intensive care but is doing great and looks like she will have a full recovery. Our next obstacle will be the mare's foal heat. The resulting diarrhea can be deadly to twins. Once we get past that I think we'll be home free.
Her mother's name is Scandalous Love and there is a baby picture of her on my website. She was the very first baby for my stallion, Scandalous Legacy and her twins are the first of my third generation breeding. As a breeder I was really looking forward to seeing the outcome of three generations of my own breeding but I had no idea what the outcome would be. They are pretty awesome and are bringing joy to a lot of people. That's pretty cool.
It's amazing how one little incidence like a birth can touch so many lives.

And this update today....
Hi Heather,
You're more than welcome to post something on your site. I've included a pic for you.
It looks like they will be coming home tomorrow. That's not a definite but if everything continues to improve, that will be the plan.
They will be ultrasounding her navel again this afternoon. They are looking for abnormalities that would indicate there is a leak in one of the veins dumping toxins into her system. If they find anything, she will require surgery, a reconstruction of her navel to close off the offending vessels.
But ideally they will find normal measurements on the veisn and artiries, they will come home tomorrow and she will continue on antibiotics. Once that regime has been completed she will have to return to the hospital (not naming because I'm worried about them getting phone calls that they don't have the time to deal with) for another ultra sound. There is the possibility that a leak can go undetected even if the ultra sounds look good. If that is the case, once she is off the antibiotics, the navel ill will return and surgery will be required for her to survive. Not sure if I can swing the additional $2000 for the surgery. Have borrowed everywhere I can just to pay for this hospital stay but will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Thanks so much for your support. It is greatly appreciated. Please send me a link to your post. I seem to be functioning in slow gear and am having trouble locating anything through searches right now. My brain is so involved with saving these foals, it can seem to shift and do much else.

Thought you'd like to know!!! Sounds like they're doing well, but prayers need to continue.
