I was given a book today called 'hope rising'by Kim Meeder Its about a ranch in a place called 'Bend' in Oregon. The true storied in this book are amazing.
'Crystal peaks is a nonprofit organisation that rescues abused and neglected horses and pairs them with disadvantaged children, offering them a place of safety, peace and hope'
I have almost finished the book today and propebly will finish it before bed time i just can't put it down. There is another book out there by the same author about the ranch but i can't remember what its called. I recomend this book to all of you... I would love to one day visit this place.
Has anyone ever heard of this place? Read the books or even been there? Anyone in the Oregon regon?

Troy and Kim have done a wonderful thing creating a Ranch where children and horses help each other and learn from each other, what a beautiful place for learning, i commend them for their wonderful job and also in saveing those beautiful horses

i am absolutely i love with that book - i have several favorite passages but i think my favorites are 'Lord Have Mercy' and "Miracle' - in fact, after reading the book i talked to the leader of our 4H group about it. we both agreed that after each meeting we would read a passage or two from the book to the group. after we finish the entire book, we plan on having a Ride-A-Thon and all of the profits will go to Crystal Peaks. I was extremely touched by the book and brought to tears MANY times. I highly suggest it to anyone - horselover or not.
