Our First Litter of Kittens Have Been Born!!!

As I was walking in from the barn I noticed one of our golden retrievers barking at the window so I went over to check what it was and...it was Favourite, one of our barn cats and she had 2 kittens with her! This was her first litter and she was one of our kitten from 2 years ago. There is one that looks just like her, black with tan/orange specks and a solid orange. There was also a grey but he/she didn't make it, r.i.p little guy. Momma cat is now skinny and is being a great mum to her babies!! I'll get some pics once they get all fuzzy and cute.

We also have a grey tabby and a steel grey that are expecting.

We have a litter due in about 15 days, I will see what I can do about getting a cam up. I am done foaling, so I will see how I can rig my cam. Let me know if you would want one up??

ok I will start working on it tonight, maybe I can get it done in time to have her birthing online.... I will see if I can get it done tonight or by Monday at the latest. We will have about 4 litters in the next 4 months, I have a cat rescue, and we have many cats that are not spayed, only because they are still wilded. My vets will not spay feral cats, they will only put them down. So I work with them, and normaly after one litter I can get the spayed. I have all the kittens spayed before they go to there new homes, or they come with a spay contract, that is they do not have them spayed by 6 months I can come take them back. I also give them the spay ticket, so they do not have to pay for anything. The first one due is Sasha, she is a black long haired. She is vet sweet, but can never be spayed, as she has a heart problem. I had her placed out, but when they whet to have her done, the vet said the it would kill her. So back she came, and she is not happy in the house unless she had babies with her. So this will be litter number 3 for her. We have no clue who the dad is as there are many males.She looks to be having 6 kittens. Next will be Mona, she is a calaco short haired. She should be spayed after this litter, but it will all depened in if she is calm enouf to go into the vets. She is good with me, but that is it. She went in once, and looks to be having 5 kittens. I will let you know that I have done this for many years, and that I am with all of my cat when the foal, I hate saying birthing, so you may see me helping. I will turn the cam off if it look like it is going bad. I will try to have someone on the phone with me to give up dates, and maybe even get my cam added to the list to watch. ;D

Not such a great update...

Mummy cat Ms.Favourite has eaten the black and orange kitten, but the solid orange kitten is still kickin' and loves hiding in the leaves. I'm gonna have my camera out tonight to take some pictures of the little squirt, he/she is very cute!! We have 2 more litters due sometime soon, we have rather fat momma cats right now Sorry no cam but if I catch any of the births I will bring the camera and snap some quick vids for all to see!

I'm so sorry to hear that, it must have been sick. It is sad but butter that the mom letting them live and being sick later.
