Went to Silver Jubilee Miniature Horse Show in OH this weekend to watch my yearling colt, Brookhavens Avatar, in his very first show. Well, he got a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the extremely competitive tall yearling class and qualified for the AMHA World Show his first time out! YIPEEE!!!!
This is also the first time I've had a horse with my farm name on it in the show ring...so doubly exciting!!!

Don't have any from the show, although I did take a video but I was so nervous it looks like someone having a seizure was holding the cam. Here's a photo from my website... www.brookhavenminis.comSORRY it's so big...don't know how to shrink it!!!

You have every right to be so very proud. He is a very handsome little guy What color is he, Palomino, chestnut? It is difficult for me to tell because he is so nicely clipped And in the classes, were they conformation & (of course) in hand classes like that? I haven't any experience with the miniature horse shows so I was just wondering. [glow=red,2,300]Congratulations to Brookhaven's Avatar ! May you have many more 'BLUES' in your future ;D[/glow]

Thanks Laura. He is a chestnut (sorrel, in the mini world) with a flax mane and tail so could be mistaken for palomino. And the class was conformation (in hand).

Hooray Merry! How exciting for you! I understand too how you must feel having your farm name on a horse you're showing - that's just doubly fulfilling knowing that your breeding is out there for judgement and he's done EXCELLENT!!!!
I'm so excited for you!!!! Congrats!
