Barbaro.....................hmmm....i have to think about that. Have you ever heard of any new updates on barbaro? Well, i haven't. I looked everywhere. And on the news in the mornings, they don't do the little thing anymore where they say, " And barbaro is doing great this morning!" or not or whatever. They used to say his condition that morning, but not anymore. Weird huh?? i think so.. please please please update me! If you can or if you know his condition please tell me as much as possible! I love barbaro and need you to feed my mind about him. Thanks, and god bless barbaro!!!!! Alisha

Hey Moonwalker! Wish I could tell you, but I don't ever get to see the news. I'm sure that some of his followers on Mare Stare will be able to update you. Hoping that the news is good.

Bloodhorse.com also has daily updates, the most recent of which noted that the hospital is so pleased with his condition that they permitted him to make several "guest appearances" during the telecast of the Belmont. (He was wearing a white sheet, heavily autographed by well-wishers.) Afterwards, he munched carrots noted as "each one as large as a typical bag of carrots." Nonetheless, his chances for survival remain at about 51% in his favor, because infection and/or laminitis are still possible outcomes.
If you didn't watch the Belmont coverage, you missed one of the best ad campaigns I've ever seen. Three Chimneys has fantastic ads featuring their stallion barn, in evening lighting with romantic music. Each of their stallions has his own ad, in which he describes himself and solicits mares, on notecards. Barbaro's sire, Dynaformer, authors a "get well" card to Barbaro. I saw the ad 3 or 4 times and bawled every time! I wonder if it is available on the Web anywhere - maybe on Three Chimney's site?
