I need to know some things before I send my mares to stud. I know most of the medical part about it. How should I have my mares prepared? And what should I send with them to stud? Thanks for any help... they will be gone to stud at the end of this month or beginning of next.

I would get the mares cultured and make sure they are ready to accept the stud.

When I bred outside the farm, the mare had to be cultured to be sure she was clean and I had to take her coggins along with the results of that culture. That was it.  Good luck! |
