He is lovely - and very studly (LOL)
Okay, this is not the first thing I've seen to lead me to wonder - what in the world is going on with the AQHA and paints? Last I heard (and I read it in AQHA regs recently) no QH registration with white above knees/hocks, wrapping too far around face, or on belly/ body, etc. So what is shaking with these AQHA papers being processed on an obviously paint, no question about it, stallion?

Thank you Erikasbackyard. AQHA eliminated the white rule once they finally accepted the fact that there are AQHA's being born overo. It has happened for many years. So now, if you have an overo that traces back to 100% AQHA bloodlines, they are allowing them to be registered AQHA (with a lot of research and work!!!). We are getting very close to that. I hope that answers your question. You can go to www.aqha.com and do a search on the "white rule" and read more.

Oh yeah, gorgeous Gus. He's one stunning stallion. And the best part about him is(only my opinion) he actually does stuff; barrels, poles and pleasure! Sign of a truly great stud!! Thanks for those pics, even though I've been to your site to drool before, still love to see pics!!

Ah-ha. I figured it had to be something like that, but the last time I went to aqha's site to look it up, it still had old rules. There was a very very snazzy colt I almost bought many years ago. Only reason I could've (sort of) afforded him was that he had high whites all four legs and a white patch under his belly. FANCY colt by a super King stallion (grey) out of a cutting mare. I didn't need another at the time, but was sorely tempted by him, since he was a "reject" for his markings.
Your boy is very beautiful.
