SEE BELOW FOR NEW JULY LINK!!! Hey y'all, please help my girl out with some "10's!" I think she deserves 'em, she is ADORABLE isn't she? She wants me to use the money we win to buy her a new, state-of-the-art scratching post! Help save my bed from destruction LOL!!!! ;D I think she deserves a million "10's!" I may be a bit biased though LOL!  It's a long story, but we rescued her a few days before this picture was taken back in 2001. We found her literally freezing to death hiding under my car very early one morning, it was 40 degrees outside and raining. She stopped breathing and we revived her - the FIRST thing she did was start PURRING like a motorboat, and I swear she hasn't stopped since LOL! So, that is where she gets her name - Purrsia! She's filled out now, but I always thought it was so adorable the way she LOVED flowers! She would hide in every flower pot we had - fake or real! I have always loved this picture of her. She appreciates your compliments! Oh, and as you can imagine, she is SPOILED rotten - I mean I just have to spoil her since she is my MIRACLE kitty! Sorry for bragging on her - but since I don't have a horse at the moment she's all I've got - and besides, well I can't help it!  |

Come on guys, please help me out! I was recently laid off from my job on June 6th and am having no luck finding a new one - and though if we win most of the money would go to Purrsia for new toys and a fluffy cat bed - the rest is going towards RENT so we both have a nice, dry place to live LOL! Any of you who are on Horse City may already know my long, complicated story. Sorry but if bragging doesn't work, I'll resort to begging LOL! ;D |

Thanks Kathy! ;D And Nina is SOOOOO precious! Wow I love those bright blue eyes! Did they stay that color? Just beautiful!!! I always was more of a "dog person" before I rescued Purrsia, I always loved cats (love ALL animals of course) but I preferred dogs. Well now I think cats are some of the most amazing creatures on earth! That CATITTUDE as you call it (love that!) is what makes them so unique! And when you can find one who loves YOU enough to return your affection, well it is just so special!  Thanks for sharing your picture! |

In that pic she was only a few weeks old, Momma was a stray and the litter was in the wild, being slowly eaten by Coyotes, so I was asked if I would rescue(all our cats were, are rescues) one I said a female and I got her! she was bottle fed we are the only Mama she has ever known really! and she is spoiled rotten! I mean rotten. I always was more of a "dog person" before I rescued Purrsia, I always loved cats (love ALL animals of course) but I preferred dogs. My Husband was like that. He parents were dog people(not cat people) and all they were allowed to have a children were dogs, so when we got married I said "I WANT A CAT" we went to the pound (after being married for 2 years) and got Boo He was unsure about cats , never had one, but the first time he heard that Motor running and felt the VIBRATING cat he was hooked! ;D Well now I think cats are some of the most amazing creatures on earth! I converted my Husbands family (mom, Dad and sister from Dog to cat people ;D Oh sure we love all animals , but after their doggies died they did not get a new one, but the in-laws did get another Cat.Thanks for sharing your picture! Awww Kathy thanks for the pic - Boo is adorable and looks AMAZING for her age!!! Wow! I am totally converted to being a cat person now myself LOL! Since we put my dog to sleep in 2004 I haven't been able to bring myself to get another one anyway - but Purrsia has been with me through it ALL! Dunno what I'd do without this one, I tell ya! She's been my rock through the best and worst times! Thanks for the support and the votes everyone - I think Purrsia and I might REALLY have a shot - she is at 8.1 so if y'all can help me keep her up there - who knows? Oh I really really need to win this. Right now I'm clearing out my home selling everything I can think of, trying to find a job since I got laid off, and well - many of you know how it is I'm sure. We've all been in these tough spots before, but with a little persistence and a LOT of help maybe I can find my way out the other side here. THANKS to everyone who has voted a 10 for her so far, obviously it is helping!!! |

Wanted to make my 100th post on here LOL! ;D AND say that I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high for winning this contest, since it obviously isn't an easy one to win - but since Purrsia seems to be quite popular I'm daring to dream! Boy, I seem to have started something here!! LOL! At least 3 other people here have entered the contest since I entered Purrsia 4 days ago LOL! Of course I wish everyone luck, but since I was the original poster on MareStare to enter my kitty - well it IS a competition and I'm really desperate for Purrsia to win - so I hope people will keep voting for my kitty as well!! |

Well we didn't win June, but I'm entering Purrsia again this month to see if we can do better! I entered a little late last month - but she still came out well!
