Ethan declared himself a big boy and wanted some of my wine, actually. I'm sorry I didn't think to post about the party while he was still wearing his party hat - he was SUCH a good sport, and wore his fancy party hat graciously until the tape that held the ribbon ties to it came undone (there was a slight rain that came through which did not help). He ate his dinner at the table with us, and checked out my plate, so he got a plate with some corn pudding and lettuce, but decided he didn't want it. He had his own oatmeal/sorghum cake with carrot shavings on top. He ate some of it, but seemed disturbed by the stickiness. He really was pleasant table company, though, and seemed to have a good time. He was very brave about the balloons and streamers, too.

That was so cool Erika. Thank you so much for inviting us to Ethan's party. What a lucky boy he is to have such a loving, caring home. Wish they were all that fortunate. |

Sheesh, Becky, I sent you an invitation days ago, so you wouldn't miss it! My mom and a friend supposedly got pictures, and will send them to me eventually. I will be sure to send you a picture of him in his fancy party hat!

Oh, about the food - I made tamale pie and corn pudding and iced tea for the people, guests brought salad and wine, my mom brought people cake and ice cream. It WAS good, I assure you. Even if Ethan decided not to try the stuff I offered him from my plate after all. Instead he had 16:6 sweet feed and a bit of his cake.

Thank you for the party Erika. I did find time to look in but couldn't stay long. It looked like you were all having a great time. Ethan has lovely table manners, what a beautiful boy. The cake looked good as did the wine. Thanks for sharing with us. |
