The cam is back up and I wish I could turn my clocks back an hour today. For some reason my fanny is really dragging and I didn't even wrestle with the twins to get that way.

I've been trying to get myself motivated enough to do an email update on the twins. It's been a while since the last one was sent and I'm beginning to get email requests asking for one so it must be time. Anyone wanting to be added to the mailing list please let me know.

I also need to go out there and get there markings drawn so I can send in for their registration papers but can't you see me out there with a clipboard trying to draw markings. They'll gang up on me and be chasing me around trying to grab the clipboard and take the paperwork. I wonder how the registry would interpret markings drawn Trouble and Surprise style??

LOL! I'm not even sure they'd accept them! Surprise would have way to much white and Trouble...well he may end up all dark. LOL!

Bringing the twins back in from their paddock today, Trouble was doing his usual lagging behind while Surprise was prancing with her tail over her back. I stopped to put some pressure on Trouble to get him to pick up the pace and Surprise JUMPED on him! But he did pick up the pace................

LOL! She was telling him to hurry it up, slowpoke! I want my dinner!

You are so right, Cheri! That's exactly what she wanted - and she definitely thinks she's the boss of him.

We had temps in the 20's last night and I'll bet the twins really appreciated the hair coats they put on. I know I was glad they had them. I don't have blankets small enough for them and I was a little concerned. But they seemed to do just fine.

Yesterday they got out into a larger paddock, still not a field size but definitely larger and with some grass. I haven't put them into it before because it's partially fenced with electric tape and not regular fencing. The thing wasn't working properly and I didn't want either one of them to be dismantling it because it wasn't hot. Dave finally got it fixed so I could use it.

When I put them in it, I planned to take them both up to the hot wire to show it to them, hoping that way neither of them would test it by running through it. But they were having no part of that fence. They wouldn't get anywhere near it. So I went ahead and turned them loose. Surprise headed straight for the gate and tried to mow Lindsay over to escape. But then Surprise is always trying to escape so Lindsay was ready for her. Surprise threw her tail over her back and her head up high and blew and blew at Lindsay "What do you think you're doing to me....?" Then ran over to me and blew and back to Lindsay and blew and so on and so on. Of course, Trouble was hot on her heals for most of the commotion.

Well, the farrier came today and I don't know if anyone was watching but it was pretty funny. There were only two of us, so that meant there was no one to ward off the twin we weren't working on. That's never a good thing - to have your hands full and one of the free to do what ever they feel............

We started with Surprise and she was a very good girl. She stood nicely for him even though she looked a little worries a couple of times. Trouble, on the other hand, tried to eat Ray's shirt, remove his hat, untie his boots and just plain get in his face. He wanted to see what Ray was looking at down there on Surprise's foot. Flicking him with the end of the lead rope was not a big enough deterrent, more like a game............

Next we did Trouble. We put him against the wall and instead of leaning on the wall, he was leaning his neck on me. His sister took over in his former position as chief of farrier harrassment and pulled at his clothes, boots etc. She also tried to strip his tools out of his farrier's chaps. Almost got one of the knives and clunked herself with a rasp. But we got through it.

Then, the fun time began when we tried to trim Vee and BOTH twins were loose to get into mischief. The two tag teamed poor Ray. His assistant, Mike, joined us at one point but it was still a free for all. Trouble got Ray's hat at one point but Surprise got his EAR! Yes, she sucked on his ear............ Enough said, you get the point.

LOL! Those too are almost too intelligent! They always find ways to make Trouble! Their names should be Scandalous Trouble and Scandalous Mischief LOL!
