Twins Update - Cam Trouble or Not?

Hi MiKael. I see you found the broken strap on Trouble's rug. You won't be surprised at all to hear the I THINK Surprise is your culprit. She was pawing at him (shame on her!) when he tried to have a lie-down last night. I feel a little ghoulish watching their distress, but I've had their cam up to watch their badness and see how they are coping with weaning. Food seems to go a long way toward appeasing them. LOL!

Boy, you're right about the food. As long as there is something to eat, they're not so upset. But everytime anyone walks anywhere near their stall, they run to the door calling for mom. Vee seems to be doing ok, she's a little bit hyper but not bad. She seems to be better today than yesterday.

I'm not sure about the blanket strap thing. Dave tells me he found Trouble's undone this morning but didn't find any problem with Surprise's. He hooked the strap back up and it seems to be staying ok.

Surprise has a different kind of strap on hers, It's elastic with snaps at both ends. I exchanged her's yesterday with the one's that Rhapsody had. Surprise's cheeks are hanging out and the straps were a little tight. Rhapsody's were too long and it worked out pretty well when I swapped them. Now Rhapsody's blanket isn't falling off sideways and Surprise is getting rub marks on the backs of her legs. As soon as Dave gets a half wall up in that stall, I'm going to wean Rhapsody and Echo and put them right there next to Surprise and Trouble. The twins haven't been up close to any other foals so it should be fun to watch.

I keep getting dropped off any time I try to watch them on the cam, Is that happening to anyone else on the twins' cam?

Hi Mikael...Yes, the cam doesn't come up some times for me too but when it does I watch ,lol...It should be real interesting watching them all once the wall thingy gets up...Glad Vee is calmong down a lot..But I bet she is a bit happy now too...You and yours and furbabies have a very Merry Christmas...HUGS

Vee seems to be pretty content with having the twins gone. She is happy to roll in her fresh shavings and not get jumped on

Surprise and Trouble still call to her some but not too bad. They do however rush the door when they hear footsteps. Don't know if they're looking for mom or just some company.

Heiress's wound is healing slowly but still going in the right direction so that's good. Reflection is recovering from a difficult teeth floating. His bite was all screwed up from some retained baby teeth. It hasn't stopped him from escaping from his stall and visiting the girls this morning. Life is going along as usual here even with the snow.

Oh, yes, forgot to say, still having lots of trouble with their cam not staying online. I try to keep it going but it's not just bouncing off and going back up with a refresh like it was, now I'm having to resign on through the server. Hopefully, it'll get figured out soon what ever is causing this. Poor Heatther, I know she's stressing big time over it.

I'm glad Heiress is doing well, sorry to hear about Reflection's bad floating experience. I can picture Vee's relief when she rolls and doesn't get jumped on. The cam is down now as a matter of fact. I know Heather is working hard trying to get things on the server end to work correctly. I love checking on the twins, they seem to be settling down alright.

Happy New Year to everyone from Rising Rainbow. Trouble and Surprise didn't like the fireworks much last night. I think mostly it was the explosions that bothered them They didn't seem to mind them in the summer but they had Vee then to tell them they were fine. Now without their mom they were pretty insecure. It was funny to see them looking at each other for reassurance. Are you scared.........I'm not scared, if you're not scared! Oh, heck, I guess we're both scared!" Then they'd run around a little, bucking and kicking their displeasure and the go back to grossing for hay like nothing happened until the next volley. By this morning they were pooped!
