Thank you for the pics MiKael. They are so adorable. Just love Surprise's head and eye. Maybe Mischief would have been a better name for her. LOL. Such a smart little girl. Can you give her any toys such as a ball to play with in her stall? Or one of the toys that hang from the ceiling? Good luck with her hock injury.

twnpnds - Yes, I do think they both need some stall toys. We are working on getting them moved into a bigger stall - hopefully a double where we can section off a portion the mare can't get to so Trouble can get some hay (Mom only shares with Surprise) and then we'll also have the room to hang one of those toys with the apple treat and the ball hanging from it (I have one in every one of the stallion or colts stalls - they love them) and will also get balls and old rubber boots for them to play with. But for right now, it's pretty cramped in there and no room for extras.
I've actually threatened her with changing her name to Trouble Too! She just gives me a horse laugh that says too many people in the world know her name is Surprise and now I'm stuck!

LOL! She has that kind of look! Well you can tell her that just because the world knows her as Surprise doesn't mean she can't be Trouble to her family!

Just in chase there's any doubt that Trouble lives up to his name as well, I'm including this pic of one of the few days the poor darlings actually got to see outside their stall. Besides he's always complaining that his sister gets ALL of the spotlight.

Mikael - I just got back into town and saw this thread. I'm so sorry to hear that she's having issues that are so difficult to diagnose and treat. I'm hoping that you find a solution to this problem....quickly. The twins are absolutely beautiful.....please keep us posted!!! (and the herbs won't hurt )

Heather, I am giving her the herbs and she is feeling MUCH better! Maybe a little too much better because now she's feeling really stallbound and resenting it. I got the camera too, but need detailed instructions. I don't have a clue what I'm looking at.

Mikael, he is too dear for words. I'd love to take him home with me. LOL! My mare and my husband would have a fit!

My son sent it for me while I was out of town and before I could put the DETAILED instructions on it as I promised. Ughhh - so sorry. I'm sure you looked at all those wires and just sighed......like you need something else to tire your mind. Hang in there - we'll get it up.

Cheri, He is a pretty sweet boy and getting prettier by the day. His head was so deformed when he was borm because of lack of space. It's good to see things correcting themselves as he grows. Husbands can certainly put a damper on things. But mine is hooked - he LOVES the babies!! About the time of the year he starts to get crabby about how much work all these horses are, the new foals start to hit the ground and he's in love again! I'm pretty sure that God gave us spring and the new foals to make up for the crap he gave us for winter.
Heather, I knew you had been working on detailed instructions and when they weren't there I figured it was just an oversight. I handed the box over to my computer savy daughter when she came and when she suggested that maybe her husband might be able to figure it out, I knew I'd have to wait for instructions or else the twins would be grown before the got installed. Let me know what a good time to call is. We're 3 hours difference in time so it'd be best if I new what kind of hours you keep;-)

Oh, mine thinks the twins are adorable and he is keeping them in his prayers. The only reason he'd have a fit is the colt will be in the house with us! LOL! My mare would just be jelous. ;P

Yes, Cheri, a house pony would be pretty tough to sell most folks on. But, oh, could Trouble find lots of stuff to play with in there;-) that might be a pretty amusing pic!

Yep! I can almost imagine the expression on our dogs face when Trouble tries to get in bed with him!

It's the expression on Trouble's face I'd like to see. He's pretty darn intrigued with the cat that likes to visit his stall, I can only imagine how he'd feel about having a canine to play with.
