h2opony, did you find out anything about how I can get these x-rays converted to digital disks so I can send them to you? I'm going to get the clinic to forward them to me so that I can proceed. So appreciate you help!

Cool, that will be most helpful. I think the hardest part of this is not having answers. I tried to talk with the vet that did the diagnosis yesterday but we never did connect. Will try again today. There is a difference of opinion between his diagnosis and the radioligist's report. I think that it centers around the degree of damage and therefore there is a question about different treatment paths. My vet here is as confused as I am. So any information to help me sort this out so I can be sure that Surprise is getting what she needs will be most appreciated.

The Docs will probably take a couple days to get everything put together...

Well, I think I should be able to find someplace here to get it done. I will ask the vet at the hospital, maybe they have the capability there. I've added it to my list of questions.

Not a problem. Here it's still the middle of the night and I'm spending another sleepless one trying to sort through all of this. It's nice to know that someone is up and stirring somewhere out there and that information is coming. That's way better than I had going a couple of days ago. Things are looking up.

Yes, it does. From the beginning they said she had an angular limb deviation in both hocks but the right was worse than the other. It was attributed to being windswept. The x-rays show calcification so that indicates that, the damage that has happened is "old" but just now being diagnosed.

Thanks, I have the first one already and am just now printing out the second. It sure helps me to figure out which questions to ask when I talk with the vet.

Yes, that is the part I'm sure of. It's the treatment part I'm confused on. And since observing the leg is so important, and I'm the one doing the observing seems like I need to know a lot more than I do. Also, looking at the first report, looks like maybe the farrier needs to be involved too. It all reaffirms for me that I need to be talking with the vet from Pilchuck since he's the one that seems to understand what's happening here.
