I have just been directed to a post by someone on another board that is entirely unbiased and untrue. I have gone above and beyond trying to keep my mouth shut - to be the better person and to let the service do the talking.
I have had customers come to me and tell me that they have been taken advantage of and treated poorly....I let that slide because I have had no problems with this person. I figure that each of us have to make our own opinions based on the facts.
I have sat back and seen things, heard things, but to actually witness an open attack on my company - with blatant lies - I can't tolerate.
We have been accused of overselling our service, which is a lie. We have three servers in place with 3000 gig bandwidth per month, and 100 meg each. We aren't even surpassing 50% capacity on any of our servers and that's with close to 1000 viewers per evening and steadily rising.
Have we had issues this month with cams, yes, we have. But we have always been honest about everything that has gone on. I have never hidden anything that has gone on with our servers. We are merely experiencing growing issues and we are actively working on those issues.
We have outside IT technicians as well as our internal tech, Jimbo, who most of you have dealt with. We are honest, trustworthy and our customers and their cams have always come first.
I have not sought a war, nor will I tolerate one. I have been told by this same person that Mare Stare will not survive. For those of you who know me, Mare Stare is very dear to me. It is not about, nor has it ever been about the money. I have always put the needs of the customers farms first. This unexpected and uncalled for attack on the credibility of Mare Stare is unfair and has no element of truth.
I can go on and on about so many things, which I do have proof of, but I am not like this person.
If we have let anyone down, I apologize. But for anyone to say that I am a liar - sorry.....won't happen here.

I believe I saw the post to which you are referring, Heather - but I am so technologically ignorant that I wouldn't have any idea about what was true or not.
I didn't see the bit about Mare Stare not surviving, tho - that sure wasn't very nice. 
I think there are plenty of sites for each of you to survive, and you here certainly do a great job.

I hate to hear that someone said something like that. We know
that you are a wonderful person and love what you are doing.
I pray that whoever would say such a thing will see that what they are saying is wrong.

Thanks Carol - and while I appreciate that most people wouldn't understand the "technological" stuff, it is posted there none the less, and it's easy to believe what we read.  I have no clue why this year has been such a war from this person. I'm just truly amazed. When I told them that there were plenty of farms for everyone, they told me that there were not. OH well, another matter of opinion. And the comment about Mare Stare not surviving was made to me - not in the post. |

Heather, Don't let those people get to you. It's not worth the trouble.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's that there are all kinds of people out there, some good and some bad. No matter what you do or how hard you work, there will be those people who don't agree with you and there will always be someone looking to tear you down, if you'll let them. For some people the only way they can feel good about themselves is to try and make someone else look bad. Unfortunately those are the facts of life.
Just know that when you're dealling with those kinds of people it's their problem, not yours. While I know it's hard to sit back and see their junk and not get caught up in it, life will be a lot easier if you can do just that.
Most people are smart enough to figure things out, some it will take a little longer than others, but sooner or later the truth will win out.
As long as you do what you do, you and Mare Stare will be fine.

Well, I have to say that having been at the brunt of an unwarranted attack myself in the past, all those people have done is proven (to me at least) that they would NOT be people that I would do business with!  We have been with MareStare for a while now and have NOTHING BUT PRAISE for everything that you do for ALL of us!!!! ;D Steph |

Heather, its hard to say here what I really want to say about this...but rest assured that there are many ppl on this board and within your customer base that know you and respect you for all that you do. Dont let this undo all that you have accomplished. God Bless MARESTARE~

i tooo am computer some what illiterate but i truly love what you have to offer here and hope that you dont have to deal with much of this sillyness, and i wish all the best Mare stare its the best, in my opinion

I have been watching the cams almost constantly this past week and the cams that disappear the most haven't been Mare Stare's! The ones that have had trouble on Mare Stare were ones where the owner or their cam had problems. Mare Stare is wonderful and the site itself is the best of it's kind. I haven't seen the post that you are referring to, and don't want to. Remember: "What goes around comes around." The job that you all do on Mare Stare speaks for itself. Jealousy is always going to be there when something is the best. It is the jewel of the web cams for horses sites!

Heather,
I am totally new here so I rather doubt that my opinion counts for much, but I just have to say that I truly love it here. I don't even have a horse, but the people here have been wonderfully accepting, friendly and willing to educate a novice like myself. All of the cams that I have watched from here have been wonderful. It is so exciting to see new life being born.
I hope with all of my heart that you won't allow the mean spirit of others to cause your own spirit to be dashed. You and your company do a wonderful job from what I can see.
I've noticed after watching cams practically 20 hours a day for the last seven days that even if a cam goes down, it is back up again literally within minutes. Additionally, I have noted cam owners stating that many times when the cam goes down it is their fault because they have had a glitch in their own system and they had to reboot. As soon as the rebooting is accomplished the cam is there again, immediately.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for offering this wonderful place that I can come to and, in a small way, live out my lifelong dream of owning a horse.

IF I WAS TO HOOK UP A BARN CAM ONLINE THEIR WOULD BE NO QUESTION THAT IT WOULD BE WITH MARESTARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The service, relationships, ect... is by far the best.Heather the farms you service seem to be your friends NOT just MONEY MAKERS! That goes above and be on! Keep your head up! We all Love you and MARESTARE!!!!

Heather, I'm totally shocked that someone would be so rude to you and insult you like this. Take it from whence it comes is an old saying but it works here. You are doing a wonderful, fantastic and awesome job so don't let one person get to you.

Heather - MareStare is - without doubt - the best servce of its kind in the business. People that say those things are usually jealous or uneducated about the issue. You have a huge following of people all over the world that think the world of you and MareStare. Don 't let petty ignorant comments get you down - we all know they are meant only to hurt - but are unfounded.

Heather, I'm so sorry that someone is puting you and your company down. With out you and Mareshare, alot of the farms here would not be able to get the rest, and feel that they can't relax. Without Mareshare we as a FAMILY here will not be able to watch and keep an eye on things for the owners. What you do here is so important not just for the owners, members and your self but for the world. For me Mareshare is a learning tool, and I have learned so much since I have been watching for over a year now. The Knowlege here and the care everyone shows is just wonderful. I remember that day when Harley was born and the owner did everything and Mareshare to get that baby all the help it needed. This isn't just a company this is a Family who cares and loves every day. NO BODY IS don't allowed to put you and your company down. If they put you down they put all of us down and that is not allowed.
