Reading what had happened; "shameful" on the person that posted it and those that felt it was OK to allow it to be posted.
I must say that I am not surprised that it has since been deleted; typical "cheap shot" and then run and hide. tisk tisk.
I have found that in life that some folks feel a need to "undercut" others to hide their own inferior feelings or abilities.
MareStare you have a great product and keep up the good work

OK...its Time... I can't just sit back and not say anything after reading all of these posts!!! (I've lurked around long enough) This just infuriates me!! I'm so glad I didn't read the actual post. Heather is probably one of the most honorable people you will ever meet and she would probably give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She is just an awesome person. I'm biased of course because Heather is family, but besides all of that... every single post that has been posted here says it all..but the funny thing is for me personally......I DON'T HAVE HORSES!!! ;D I love watching them this time of year and I was there in the early stages of Mare Stare. I work second shift so I'm usually wired when I get home at Midnight...so everyone loved seeing Connie get home to watch the mares for a while. ;D It is just appalling to hear that the service of Mare Stare is even being questioned. If someone would remotely think Mare Stare wouldn't make it.... Look around and think again. Obviously they crumbled and took down their post?? (I said that out loud...hehehehe sorry) We are all part of the Mare Stare Family and Heather makes sure that we are taken care of.... even those of us that live our dreams of having horses via webcam. Thanks Mare Stare!! Love ya Heather! ((hugs)) Connie

Heather, I, by accident, ran across mare stare last year. It was one of the best things I could ever have found. I had just bought my first 2 Mini's and even tho I've owned horses, it was just to have as pets and not to bred. One of my Mini's was due last summer and was my first foal ever. If it wasn't for your "mare stare family" and you answering all my questions I don't know what I would have done. You have a wonderful service and I know from what I hear from others, and all you do here, I sure couldn't keep up with you. You are doing a wonderful job and don't feel that it isn't appreciate by everyone. Because of your site you just might have saved my little filly. If it wasn't for all these knowledgeable horse owners telling me what to do, she would have been gone. Please don't listen to others. Their problem is, they just can't keep up the good work like you do. Thank you so much for this site.

I didn't see the post that started this topic, but after reading all the responses, I felt it was time I added my two cents.
When I discovered Mare Stare, I didn't have a clue how to set up my cams for web viewing. Mare Stare helped in every way from initial set up with dial up connection to later upgrading my cams with dsl. When I had a foal born with narcolepsy, not only did I get advice and words of comfort from other Mare Stare clients, Heather called herself with her own experiences.
Last weekend Heather and I were at the same show in Fort Worth. This was not our first meeting. We've run into each other at other shows. Just as she handles her company, Heather was a great help as we were short handed getting the horses in the ring. Both Heather and Shannon were very willing to hold horses for us, etc. Each time I have met her, at some point the conversation always gets to Mare Stare. The care, concern and pride she has for her company shines through as it should. Her service is impeccable and incomparable.
I, for one, will never leave the services of Mare Stare. Last year was my first year as a client and I am so grateful for everyone involved as thanks to a phone call at 3:30 a.m., I was able to make it down to the barn in time to assist our mare.
I'm so sorry that the "competition" feels the need to resort to these kind of tactics. It's obvious to all of Mare Stare's clients and the tireless eyes of the watchers that there is no other cam hosting site like Mare Stare.
Thanks for all you do and for just being here for us, Heather.

I have not posted in a very long time. My computer was fried and I just got it up and running again. So here goes.....Heather you have something very special in mare stare, and should not feel in the least that you have any thing to worry about what meaningless people say. You, marestere and the giagantic family at marestare are the cream of the crop!!!! So many have been effected by these wonderful services, from small, mediam, large and two legged. We love you all. Keep up the exceptional work....Don't change a thing.

I am new this year to using Mare Stare to host my online cam. I knew I wanted the service, so did some research and out of those that do cam hosting, Mare Stare by far blew others clear out of the water as far as services go. Mare Stare is the greatest thing since sliced bread and I am here to stay, despite what is said by others.

Heather, just want to say that l agree with everyone else on here. People who stoop to this type of posting arnt worth worrying about. This is my second year viewing Marestare and you have been nothing but professional in everything you do. To the people on here your are not just a 'service provider' you are a friend and advisor as well. Bouquets of the sweetest smelling flowers to you for everything you do and long live Marestare. On the other hand, Buckets of the foulest muck to the authors of the post and may they get all that they deserve.

OK, I'm new here....been watching the cams for a long time, but had never taken the time to join the chat room etc. so I coming in here from the side door so to speak. THis just happens to be the first post I came to looking for the post which wil tell me which cams to watch for and I stumbe into this maalox moment... So much for kumbaya! Obviously I can't speak to the particulars except to say that if the cams weren't in place and appropriately so, I would not have gotten to this point of jumping in. Given that logic, is this person telling me I am a fool??? Let's pretend for a moment that I am going to give that credence.... MOMENT OVER! My grandma used to say "keep your eyes on your own plate and you won't see what you neighbor is doing" Smart lady.. Heather, you do what you do best and keep your eye on YOUR ball. Your heart and soul are in this, and it shows. Anyone who can't see that has limited vision. Walt likes to say that when an idiot starts an argument and a braniac jumps into it, after a while it is hard to tell the difference. Anyone who has a business and tells their competition that there is not enough business for everyone so get out of my way.... this is a person with limited resources between the ears, and will proceed to his/her logical and well deserved conclusion. (operative word here is conclusion). Please, Heather, stand as tall as you always have, when the naysayers try to cut your legs out from underneath you, know that we will be your wings. NOBODY COMES INTO YOUR HOUSE AND PUSHES YOU AROUND. Not on our watch! And isn't 'the watch' the whole point of this site???

Such a shame to cut someone down just because they aren't as successful. Heather, you're a gem! A dad gum smart one too! I love being being part of the biggest family in the world. Did you get that, you bad person? Don't know about elsewhere, but here in the south you don't mess with family. We stick together, thick and thin. Thank you Heather for a wonderful site and for giving us the opportunity to watch the miracle of birth, share our happiness and grief, learn new things, and make new friends. We love you. God bless.

I don't think I would say "aren't as successful"... Heather is doing very well, and has tons of new clients coming on every week.

I didn't mean Heather wasn't successful. I meant the other person who's jealous of Heather's success. Sorry about that. Heather's success comes from her caring attitude and hard work. She can't help she's loved so much! ;D

Heather, you and I have history so you know I have a very high opinion of you already but if most folks knew the hours you put in, the nites you go without sleep, the pain you feel for each one in trouble be it yours or someone else's not to mention the joy of a successful foaling..... NO ONE would ever criticize. Altho I have been told that when someone says something like "MareStare will never last" it is born from envy and fear that it will...so take a breath and be confident that the product called MareStare is flourishing and will for time to come.

Heather - Chelsea and I also found your site last year in a way that made us think HE had His hand in it. The people here are wonderful (Hey, Deirdre!) and the advice and compassion we received was totally without measure. Without all of you watching our Lucy I know last spring would have found me tearing my hair out. So keep your head up high and graze on the tall grass; let the others chew the low weeds!
