Yeah. What Brittany said. I agree. I like being able to identify what I haven't read quickly, and the "newbie-style" icon isn't doing it for me. I'm a dinosaur. SIGH.

I agree.. I got very confused and couldn't tell if it meant it had a new thread or not.. it doesn't take much to confuse me though..lol

i'm also a fan of the word "new" there. just a little easier to understand and a little easier on the eyes as well - especially in the alerts and updates forum that has pages of "new" posts each day.

Alright I just have one issue and it just happened. The smilies all changed which is fun and neat but now you have the smilies in front of the thread. It used to say New if you hadn't read the thread yet but now it doesn't just the little smilie guy shows up. I vote to put the word new back on the begining of the thread (if at all possible)! Brittany I agree with you Brittany. I liked it the other way much better.

Well, we like you anyhow. Now, who's gonna step forward and take credit for switching back to "new"?

I have one huge suggestion, Moderators should be not just locking but deleting rude & harassing post. Like ones that happened on Sassy's post.

Mysteryhorses-- I was going through and deleting posts as fast as I could, but I simply could not keep up, so the thread was locked. Also, Heather needed to read what was written there so that she could take care of it. We did the best we could.

I don't know if or how it might be possible to do this (or whether anybody would bother to read it- LOL), but can we have some guidelines for what is okay to post, especially during the heat of foaling? When Magic (Elements) foaled out earlier today, it was obvious that she was having a red bag delivery, but I didn't mention anything on the MB because I was afraid of triggering "thread hysteria" or being troublesome. It was a little frustrating, but I can live with frustration (otherwise I wouldn't watch pregnant mares for a hobby). But I would have found it helpful to have a clearer idea of what I should or should not post.
Thanks for trying to address this. I'm thinking that guidelines might just make things worse, but maybe there's a way to help us know what is appropriate.
Reply: We will discuss this and see what we can do.

I have a suggestion/request. The horse owner or person in charge of the horse, could you make their posts or posting name a different color. It often takes a lot of time to find updates from them in the midst of the other posts. Thanks
And - AHA - place updates at the beginning of the thread. Have the owner place them, and then their chit chat could be in the regular places.

well, I discovered the MareStare Store today...okay so I'm a little slow lol. Great items! But, I was surprised that you don't have bumper stickers or window decals. I think a transparent car window decal with that big MareStare eye on it would look really cool Just an idea. I love what you have already, and plan to purchase a t-shirt very soon. Julie Reply: I will pass the suggestion along.
