I've got a suggestion. Of course mare stare is perfect but I think this will be a little addition. I'm not sure if anyone will agree with this but: Have a sub-board (under talk around the stable) about important issues, opinions/debates. But we will make sure everyone's opinion is respected and that there are no heated arguments. Everyone has a different point of view and I find it interesting to hear everyone's. You can also post important issues involving horses and other animals. I had this on my old board and it worked out very well. As long as it is moderated every day, and everyone respects each other's opinions, it's a great way to express yourself and the way you feel about certain things. Thanks for reading, Cassie Reply: At this time, we are not looking to add another board to the forum. You are more than welcome to discuss topics in 'Around The Stables' or 'Off The Farm' (where appropriate), and if we see the need in the future to add another board, we will consider it. Just try to keep all discussions respectful and friendly, as 'flame wars' and nastiness will not be tolerated here.

I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the scrolling text on some the cam sites. For some reason the scrolling text wants to bleed through to windows on top, and eventually my whole computer locks up. I know I'm having some issues with the performance on my computer, but I've notice more lockups with the scrolling text sites than the cam sites without it. I'm running XP Media Edition with 2 gig of memory, so my machine really should be able to handle this. Just wondering....love MareStare Reply: Sorry, but I believe the scrolling messages are part of some of the cams. Is it the WeFoal cams, Mare Stare cams, or both? I know I have problems sometimes with the scrolling on the WeFoal cams. I wish I had an answer to help you.

I LOVE Mare Stare!!!! Thank you for this wonderful service!!! I have one suggestion: Is it possible to put on the top of every page of the message boards a link to the mare that is the topic of the discussion. Many discussions go for 10 or more pages and you have to search to see if anyone has posted a link to the mare...sometimes you can find it on page one, but that's not always consistant and is up to the enthusiasm/knowledge of whomever started the thread. It would be SO helpful to have that link at the top of each page :-) Just a thought from a rank amature on computers!!! Kelly in Tampa Reply: Putting it at the top of each page is a bit much, but I'll try to be sure it's in the first post on each mare. How's that? Saddlebred Lover - That's a deal!!! Thanks!!!

Is there anyway to put on a cam if it's down/turned off? I never know if it's my PC not allowing me to look at the cam or if it's down. Sometimes it's my PC, but before I start trying to figure it out on my end, it would be nice to know if it's turned off on the farm's end. Reply- Sorry, but at this time there is no way to do this. You can sometimes check the message board, as people will occasionally post if they are having trouble with a cam. I have also posted a thread on the foaling alerts forum titled 'if you can not get a cam to connect' that has good information on why cams may be down/off and what to do. I hope this helps you out!

I am new to marestare and love it! But it took me a week to find the foaling alerts, which are really cute BTW. Seems others new to marestare also have trouble finding that. Could you move the three links at the bottom of the cams page to the top of the page? Just a suggestion as the Foaling Alerts are fantastic and really enhace the viewing when you can actually go to the bathroom without worrying you're missing something!

Alright I just have one issue and it just happened. The smilies all changed which is fun and neat but now you have the smilies in front of the thread. It used to say New if you hadn't read the thread yet but now it doesn't just the little smilie guy shows up. I vote to put the word new back on the begining of the thread (if at all possible)!
