You are right - and that's because when I set up the boards for the other farms I didn't want anything on there except "their" stuff. I may have to change that and at least put a link bar on there for navigation purposes. We'll work on that - thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Heather, you can't do much better than this site. I love it. I just signed up even though I've been hanging around for a while. I love to be able to go into someone else's barn and watch these miracles. I grew up riding mustangs and taking care of them, especially at foal time. I miss that exciting miracle of life, and you help bring that to me and many other people who have or aspire to have their own miracles someday. My hats off to you and thank you.

Heather, first l want to say THANKS for the great job you do on here. I only started watching earlier this year and l love it. I probably spend more time here than my family would like but.... I love being able to watch the miracle of birth, and sharing in the joy and/or sadness associated with it. I find its also a good source of information. If you have a question someone is sure to be able to give and answer. Its like having a 'big family' theres always someone who can help out. "GO MARESTARE"

What can I say that hasnt already been said? This is a great site, very informative (Got Milt? lol) and a great group of people!! Not sure I would change anything...except maybe to give Melanie and official title...she does excellent work!! I've been following Mare Stare for a few years now, and became a registered member last year...before that, I was a dedicated MRF/J&A lurker...lol Keep up the great work Heather and Jimbo...we all appreciate it!! THANK YOU!!!

I only found this site a few months ago and should have written down every mare I saw foal but I didn't. Next year I will!! I know I've seen at least 20. I work at night on the west coast so when I'm still working and viewing at 10:00 p.m. it's 1:00 a.m. on the east coast - prime foaling hour - so it's been great!!
My husband thinks I'm nuts I think. The cams have replaced TV for me, much more rewarding to watch the miracle of life happening live.
I have nothing negative to say about the site at all!!
I think it would be great to have some kind of on-line store to buy shirts, mugs, mouse pads, key chains, etc., not just from Mare Stare but from any farm that wants to put something on line with their name and pictures of mares and babies we've all watched. All proceeds could go to some kind of horse rescue group or sanctuary where the money could be put to good use saving animals. Just a thought!

Funny you should ask. I just spoke to a woman today who had a foal recently(well her mare did) and I was telling her about marestare and she had no idea it existed. I was so happy to be able to pass this website on to another person who could enjoy it as much as I do. I hope she joins! Heather, to answer your question, I love everything about marestare(the foals, the mares, meeting other horse lovers, learning more than I ever thought I could about horses via watching a cam.) It's just great!!!!!! Okay, I guess I will leave room for others to post, LOL

Hi Heather, I don't post very often but I am here catching up on the goings on here. It's usually the first thing I do in the mornings or returning home. Well I have a lot to complain about. 1.I slept in my barn for three nights waiting for my mare to foal, someone could have told me about these cameras sooner. 2. You have mini's and I don't. 3. My midnight mare stare coffee keeps me up till 3. 4. These mares could be more considerate and foal during the day. 5. I can't fit anymore cams on my monitor. 6. And my final and biggest complaint is....You have not built a stall big enough for me and all my animals to move into!!!!! After that said I think you and all the mare stare family are soooo awesome. Thank you for all your hard work and letting us all in your lives. Loni

HA HA - My fault? Could be - ya'll have seen me on cam and I'm no super model! We should post our favorite things to do (or munch on) while staring....that'd be a whole topic all by itself!
Thanks guys for your kind words and suggestions! Hopefully Mare Stare will only continue to improve as we age.

Hi Heather, I'm with everyone else! Love the site and all the wonderful owners that allow us all into their lives. The thrill when a mare delivers safely :)and the heartache when they don't The struggles of the foal's first steps - how some are very determined and are up in no time flat - and how I would like to jump thru' the cam to help steady others. I look forward to Melanie's regular updates and refer to it often during my Marestare time - Thanks Melanie ;D Like Beckys said I would love to be able to go back to the cams page from the message board but I get around it by having LOTS of pages open at once!

Heather, I must say Mare Stare has been a wonderful site for all of us. I truly enjoy the connection all of us have within the Mare Stare family. Sending congrats, prayers, condolences, etc to one another for support is a great way to stay in touch. I like the fact that we can watch each other's mares when an owner has to be away or is catching up on much needed sleep. I know I have asked for assistance when I had to sleep or be away from home. It is much less stressful knowing someone else is watching and can call you at a moment's notice. I stumbled onto this site this winter and I am so glad I found it. It is wonderful to have a host for our cameras for the world to see. It has increased traffic to our website beyond our expectations! My non-horsey friends think I have lost my mind when the foaling alert monitor goes off...and I run to the computer. LOL They said I need a life.....I tell them I DO have a life...with Mare Stare and all the great people connected with it. You & Jimbo have been our saving grace getting us hooked up with such ease and the support afterward is the best I have seen. Keep up the good work Jimbo and Heather ! Dislikes about Mare Stare...ARE there any? Not in my book. I do like the earlier suggestion of more Mare Stare items for sale, mouse pads, coffee cups, etc. You go girl !! Steph @ Kinney Miniatures
