Hi Heather! I have been coming to the sight now for just a few months and have fallen in love with it. At out house the first person home turns on the laptop in the kitchen and logs on to check on the current horse to watch. We fell in love with Banner and were lucky enough to meet her and her beautiful baby Melody. Wendy was so sweet to let my family visit her barn and see her gorgeous horses. What a treat that we will never forget and it's all because of you and your site that we made new friends! Thank you Heather! Jill

WTG Heather! Marestare is great! So easy to go right to the cams. I have noticed that marestare cams come up a lot faster than others. Which is great for us dialup users. I love being able to go to the mares MB and catch up with mares I missed. And Melanie, how do you ever find the time? We thank you for helping us decide who to watch.
Got a few suggestions for you Heather. How about a "New Cams" thread on the mares MB? Some folks don't have a web site and don't tell us who they are or the name of the mare we are watching. They could put an introduction on this page. Tell us who they are, where they live, info on their mares, and what they raise. That sort of thing. Then we can fully welcome them to the family. And for some of us, have something to put in our record books. You might have to tell the newbies about this page Heather.
How about adding "Other Babies" to the photo contest? This would be for other animals. Like goats, sheep, puppies, kitties, llamas, etc. No horses. This way folks that don't have horses or live on a farm can enter and be a part of the contest. We all love to show off our furry, fuzzy, and feathered babies.
I have no complaints at all Heather. You've done a fantastic job. Hugs and kisses to all.

I've been trying to think of a way to highlight the new cams on the board. We also offer the free message board to farms that don't have one for two reasons: #1 - so that they can keep us posted on their mares and introduce themselves and #2 - so that everything is centralized and easier on Melanie. Some farms don't take advantage of that though, so a new cam thread would be a good idea. Thanks for suggesting it. And a photo contest for other babies - cute idea! Let me get this one done and we'll try that next - then the prize would be right in time with Christmas....spending money!

Heather, I have loved this site. One great comfort here is knowing that I can rely on others to watch when I have to sleep, and they will alert me to my horses' foaling. I know for a fact that viewers have saved at least two of my foals and one mare's life. I am very grateful for that. I also agree with the others that have posted before me. They said it some much better than I could.
