I wasn't insinuating, I was merely pointing out that it DOES NOT SAY anywhere. And they work many different ways. Now I see that Precious has posted their intentions, and that is great. I NEVER SAID THEY WEREN'T WONDERFUL. I guess I'm just evil, as I'm the first person on this particular board to jump up and say I will send money - actual, practical assistance. I will bow out of this discussion and off this board, since differing points of view are not welcome. I wish you all well.

You are not the first person to say you'd give money to them- MSC has been discussing it in the chat room for a few days now. Don't herald yourself as the hero before you know all the facts, erika. That's not fair to say you're the only one to step up when it just isn't so.
You're tarnishing a good thing by insinuating that the fund isn't going completely to the person in need. You said that much in your earlier post. Don't be so darn cynical- we're all trying to help, and no one needs you to inject hostility into the conversation.

Ericka, though you bring up some good points. I want to say this. I never asked for these girls help. BUT I have offered to help other via donating tack and such.
I do believe in god and I believe that is where Lukky went. He had soooooo much fight and will to live. It was just to much for his lil body and I believe that god took him.
I doubt any of the girls who started this intended for just one person to have it. I know I didn't even though I told the girls I would get it taken care of eventually they took it in their hands to help. My son and I will appreciate it.
If they don't help I will be happy in knowing that some good came out of our heartbreak. A fund was started that may help others when they need it.

First of all - let's keep in perspective what Mare Stare Cares is for. It's to benefit equine in need. We need to focus on the care and well being of the horses in need and their owners. Let's not turn this into something that it is not.
While I fully believe in Jesus Christ and God, this fund was not started as a religious fund. The reference to angels and God was a personal statement by members of this group. It is not there to push any personal preferences or beliefs on anyone.
Your beliefs are your own and we respect them as we hope everyone's beliefs will be respected here.
Mare Stare Cares is in the very, very early stages of development and we are still working on guidelines for donations and caps, and needs, etc. These are all things that will be ironed out over the next few weeks or months. If anyone is uncomfortable with donating to Mare Stare Cares then please do not donate. I'm sure that a check to the owner of the horse will be appreciated and accepted just as quickly as a donation through our program.
But I can personally assure you that all monies coming through Mare Stare Cares will be fully donated to those that they are designated for - IF a personal designation is made. If no designation is made we will distribute the funds as needed.
And unlike organizations like the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and others, no monies are being used for Pay Pal fees, administration fees, clerical expenses, etc. Any fees incurred in the processing of funds, mailings, etc. will be paid directly by Mare Stare, LLC.
100% of all money donated will go to assist equine in need.
I apologize for not making these facts known from the beginning. As I said this is a new fund and we are still working out all the kinks. We jumped in feet first with the hopes of helping. We certainly did not mean to offend, and I apologize personally to anyone that took or takes offense to any reference we make.

I sure hope Janelle and Janet don't read this. This is just plain sad. I agree 100% - this is not what we intended at all.

Very well said Heather! I hope this follows through because it will help these people out greatly. It's a shame that we get caught up in conflict and forget the original plan of this fund... "to help friends in need". I love that you set up this fund! Thanks a lot!

I love that you set up this fund! Thanks a lot! Shaina Thank you Shaina - and I wish I could take credit for setting this up. It was presented to me with the desire for Mare Stare to be part of it. I felt honored to be able to be a part of it and to have Mare Stare associated with it. We just want to be helpful.

THANK YOU SO MUCH HEATHER! When Precious, Chero, myself, and everyone involved first started talking about this fund about a month ago it was not our intention AT ALL to try to push any religion on anyone. We all have our beliefs. Thats our right. We started this fund because it was our hearts that just reached out for little Lukky. He touched us all, and was fighting so hard. As we all watched him fight and watched the vet bills grow it was a thought that just kept growing for each one of us until we finally said OK lets do this thing. It was the immediate thought to help those in need. Every one of us who has or had these wonderful companions knows how a beautiful day can turn so terribly bad so quickly. Not all of us are going through this kind of problem at the moment, but we never know. It IS our intentions to keep this going for everyone; you or even myself may need this help one day. Please lets not make this something it never started as and never will be. It is for everyone who has a true need.

Janet and I are so overwhelmed by reading all of your posts...you all have just amazed us beyond what anyone can ever imagine. I just cant believe that people that dont even know someone are trying to help in so many ways...Yes I have seen it before myself on other MB's.. friends pulling together for friends...but never thought it would ever happen to Janet. Janet and I are still working with all the vets we can get in touch with....Lets just hope tomorrow brings more positive news for us....you all just dont know what we are trying to tell you all via this board....we are trying so hard to tell vets what are situation with this little one is and they just right away say its kinda pointless to keep fighting...we cant seem to get any further than that with them via phone. Janet is gonna call our reg vet back and see if she will come out and look at him before we can decide actually the best place to haul him....our reg vet is sounding more promising now...thank the lord that someone is. Anyways.....as far as setting up a paypal account...we know nothing about how to set them up via MB's...all we can tell you is that Janet does have a paypal account as she has used it before for online purchases...will it work for what we need it to work for or does she have to set something else up? Her home address is Janet Nelson 2550 15 1/4 Ave. Rice Lake, WI 54868 If anyone can help me figure out the paypal thing...that would be great...just email me or Janet My email address is geenellie@chibardun.net Janets is nelsonsfunnyfarm@citizens-tel.net Like I have said before....you all are just the best...I just cant believe what is happening in front of our eyes.
Thank you all again and again for everything you have done and are wanting to do. You all just dont know how much Janet appreciates it. If anyone wants to contact Janet...call her at 1-715-556-2406 I will also post some photos of this little one also.
Much love being sent to you all!!!!!!!!

One suggestion to offer .......It would be great if Harley's pic could be posted on the 'donation' link site! Sometimes a picture is worth 1000 words..
