Hello.I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what I could do with a wart on my Sinbad's elbow? I have to pay the vet bill of 300.00 off before they will do surgery.they did give me some cotterizing stick thingys but he doesn't even have to bump it to have it start to bleed.I am scared to go to sleep now at nite cause I am afraid he will bleed to death before I wake up...I have been paying on the bill tho...Please, any suggestions would be welcome.I am at a point that I don't know what else to do but will gladly listen to everyone here. Thanks so much for listening. Please keep him and myself in prayer.Im really really scared and terribly depressed...God bless......Judy

Awww Judy, *HUGS* wish I knew the answer for you. I hope someone can answer this for you. I know my grandfather years ago used an over the counter wart remover on one of his old huntin' dogs, but not sure if the Vet World would agree with that now days.

Judy sorry to hear about your boy. Dont know the answer to your problem however when my old Dobie developed a tumor on his elbow l taped a padded dressing over it just to protect it from being knocked everytime he laid down. Its only a temperary measure but might help till you can get it removed.. Heres a pic of my boy.

Judy, would you mind if I sent you a Christmas gift for Sinbad and get a little more paid down on your Vet bill so he gets the treatment he needs a little bit sooner. Maybe others can help also. God Bless. Linda

Linda, that's a great idea, if we all gave a little I'm sure we'd get the $300 in no time:) In the meantime, you could put some padding on it, make sure it's something absorbent and that there's a bit of pressure to stop any bleeding that might occur. To reassure you a little, I really doubt he'll bleed to death from it (though I haven't seen it or how it bleeds), so he should be fine until you can get it done. Does your vet offer CareCredit? You can check here: carecredit.com/providerloc/ It's a wonderful program for the big vet bills, it give you a little longer to work on payments, and you shouldn't be denied service for having money still due. Now as a final note, if you really think it's life-treatening and your vet won't do the urgery, find a different vet who will. The clinic where I work will do a treatment for an established customer even if they do still owe a little. And when you think about it, $300 is not a lot as far as veterinary work goes. I really wish you were closer to me, you could take him here and I'd cover it. Depending on the size of it, w could use the cryoprobe and freeze the darned thing off, anf it'd only be about $150 including the exam and meds

I will get my money sent off today Judy. It's Christmas time guys, lets all chip in a little and get this family pet some help. I know it's a bad time of year for spending some extra money, but we all have to remember "The Reason For The Season" and it feels so good to me when I get to make someone's Christmas just a little merrier. I would rather give than recieve. God Bless you all and have a Very Merry Christmas. Linda

You are so welcome Judy, I think we've all been in a place where we need some kind of help and it's my pleasure to get to help Sinbad get back on his "paws" lol I do gree with Shannon, you might try to find a different Vet in your area so he can get treated sooner, maybe even an animal shelter that offers some services with their Vet..~~~Hugs~~~
I sent out a card in todays mail Judy.
