What an awesome idea! I guess it's my turn to share here. My name is Lisa and, like the rest of you, have been horse crazy for quite a while. I started riding hunters when I was 7 and 20 yrs later, I'm still riding. I'm mainly a lurker, but come out of hiding from time to time to join in here. I first learned about this when my dad found the horse cam on the Discovery website and sent it to me while in undergrad. I am now a graduate student hoping to graduate this December or soon after. Any extra time I have is spent riding. I am in the process of buying my first horse. Her name is Mia, show name is Controlled Chaos. She's a 12 yr old bay 15.3 hh off-the-track thoroughbred that I'm training to be a jumper. That's a picture of us to the left, taken soon after moving her to my barn. I swear this mare would jump the moon if I asked her. My trainer and I are hoping to have her in the Open Jumpers here really soon. I also train horses for others. I currently work with 2 Friesians, a National Show Horse, a 4 yr old QH, a 3 yr old TB and a 12 yr old TB along with my own mare. Aside from the horses I have two silly felines, Simba and Milo. I adopted both of them as 10 week old kittens. Simba is a Himalayan mix and Milo is a black and white domestic short hair. I also have two 10-gallon freshwater tanks, one for each cat ;-) Here's some pictures for you all. Another picture of Mia and I, taken same day as the one to the left. Silly feline #1 - Simba Silly feline #2 - Milo And finally.....me....*hides face*

This is a great idea! Well thats me and my baby Hollywood he is a 7 year old Thoroughbred i rescued off the track, he is an own grandson of Alydar... Im Skye and I am 19, I am from Arizona but I am currently attending the University of Texas at Austin on a swimming scholarship. I have been swimming competitively since I was 4 years old. At the age of 12 I began getting up at 4 in the morning monday, wednesday, friday to go to practice for two hours before school, after school I would go back to the pool for another 2-3 hours, and then to the gym and home for homwork. I have been traveling the country and the world as part of this wonderful and ever so demanding sport. I was favored to make the 2004 Olympic team, but unfortunately while competing in Australia before trials with the team another swimmer jumped into the pool, didnt see me and landed square in my back, I broke 2 ribs, and fractured two vertebrae. It took 36 weeks to get back to semi normal and training again. In high school i became one of very few athletes in the U.S. to win all eight possible state championships and go completely undefeated during my high school career in any sport. I am currently studying biology to get into veterinary medicine here at my dream school the University of Texas. I have tons of experience in the field including surgeries, vacccines, problem cases, foaling, artificial and natural breeding and more thanks to my wonderful vet in Arizona Dr. Rob Cooper. He has been letting me ride along with him as much as I possibly can and teaching me everything he can. Other than swimming and horses my other passion is modeling. I have been a model since I was a wee little one and want to seriously pursue it when my athletic career is over. I currently own three big horses and one mini. The first is Hollywood who is pictured with me. I got him as a yearling with a badly bowed tendon and he was scheduled to be euthanized the day I went to the breeder's place to look at another mare. He is 16.3 hands of goofball but an absolutely sweetheart. We team pen, team rope, trail ride, dressage, and jump together. I also run and own Skye's The Limit Performance Horses with a friend of mine, I train horses as well here in the Austin area. The second is Beau he is a 18.2 hand warmblood cross. He came to me as a dressage schoolmaster "gone insane" or so they said. he would rear up and strike out at people, bear his teeth, charge at anyone that entered his stall, freak out randomly under saddle etc. They "just couldnt figure him out and he was good for nothing but dog food". However when you stick an 18.2 hand elite ATHLETE in a 10 x 12 stall all day everyday and only take him out to perform some of the most demanding movements in the equine world. I would go insane too. I turned him out to be a horse and he now can be ridden brideless, never wears a halter just follows us everywhere, and is our "great dane". The mini is Dallas. He is a 27 inch black stud colt and FULL OF PERSONALITY! I thought hollywood was an all about me horse, holy cow this guy beats him by 20! He is a sweetheart and is a therapy horse in training. Lacey is a 7 year old Grey and white tobiano APHA mare that i recently began riding. She is foundation bred is is dripping with natural talent. She will be bred in April and we are looking forward to a tank of a filly. Lastly the non-horsie kids. I have two miniature schnauzers Baxter and Sparkle. They are amazing! Baxter is 3 and Sparkle is 4 now. She is a pure white miniature schnauzer and we plan to breed her in April. Cant wait for those puppies! Here are some pictures Dallas Beau Hollywood Lacey Sparkle Baxter AND ME!

I have been lurking around Mare Stare and enjoying watching all the foal cams and decided I to wnated to have one setup in my barn. I am a small breeder of Morabs in Texas I own 3 Morab mares named Lady, Debi, and Debut, 1 Morgan mare named Stillwaters, my 26 year old Arabian stallion is named Ea Gai Shaliadak , Lady and Stillwaters are in foal to him and then I have my old Appy gelding who is 27. My folaing camera should be here Tuesday Feb 27 and hoping I am smart enough to get it setup and working, Heather has been so much help getting started and answering my many questions I have , Riverwind Surveillance Supply was also very helpful and have friendly customer service. Be watching for the Morability Ranch foaling Camera to become active soon my gaited Morab mare LM Mystery Lady is due March 5th but could and will likely foal before that date so hopefully I can get cam online before foal gets here. Stillwaters will be 2nd to foal and she was pastured with my stallion so not sure when she is actually due but by looking at her I amn thinking April maybe May or she is not really pregnant and I have just been admiring a growing hay belly for months now . Heather thank you so much for getting the Morability Page up on here you did a great job on it and it matches my website , thank you thank you Kym Morability Ranch

Hey another newbie flyswatter type here, hoping to get involved and able to move up into the ranks! I rodes horses MANY years ago, even managed a barn part time my senior year of high school (very small barn, very few horses, but fun never the less!) but have been out of it for some time. Last time I rode was on the beach on Sea Island Georgia, a beautiful dark bay thoroughbred mare. A ride I will never forget! But that was almost 14 years ago. Because of family, lack of money and moving around a bit have not been able to get back into is but hoping to in the future...you're never too old to be around horses. Hope to get involved in our theraputic riding program here in Va Beach. I work as a special education teacher assistant so am around special needs children. Figured being around horses with them would be a bonus! I still have my english jumping saddle in my garage and my husband just sighs and doesn't ask anymore when I will remove it. I may get it bronzed someday.... So excited about becoming a member of this board. Sounds VERY positive and extremely educational. Looking forward to learning lots more and making new friends! Thanks for this wonderful site! Nancy PS...I am married, almost 25 years and have two children, a 20 yr old daughter in college and a 16 yr old son who is a junior in high school....

Hi everyone ! I came across your site a few months back. I was looking for cams of animals of any kind. Guess the boredom had set in with chat rooms and blogs. Lets see a little bit about me - I have 3 wonderful adopted fuzzy babies, 2 dogs and a cat. Jessie James is supposedly a WILD cat from the animal shelter here, lmao !!! He isn't wild at all and a very loving funny cat to have in our family. Bear is a Lab chow mix 90lbs and my baby. Abby (princess) is a husky mix. No 2 legger kids here. For as long as I can remember I have had a love for horses since I was very little. This started with drawing them at the age of 5 and I actually believe they were my first subject. My father was shocked that I had out of no where had them plastered around the house on every wall. hehe! I then took on the big sister job as the family horse and gave frequent horse back rides for the younger kids. Hmmm! no I don't have bad knees yet. I have some Aunts that are just a few years older then myself that got me into riding at the stables here. Well now 25 years later (almost 40 here) I am thinking about riding again. This has been a life long dream of mine to have horses and I can afford them, but I not going to just jump right back into it. I will have to talk myself back into lessons and from there clinics. I guess the biggest thing that is holding me back right now is my weight and age. Guess I'm just being silly but if anyone else feels that same way it would be nice to know. I would like to thank all the owners for allowing us the honor of viewing their four legged family memebers and the love and devotion they show them. Peace Marybeth

OK I am going to have to figure out a way to put my pictures on here as well. I am a horse LOVER, graduate student and a skater/coach. I do all organic with my life and I love it. I am from the Pacific Northwest and I love the mountains and ocean. The best of both worlds. I am pretty new here so I haven't figured out or had the time to figure out how to do pictures and all of the other fancy stuff. My favorite horse has always been Seattle Slew, then Barbaro came along and I had to put him on top. But essentially they are both pretty much in the same category for me. I have a group that is in yahoo groups that is called Barbaros_ShoppingMall_On_Planet_Earth from Barbarosrose2007 if anyone would like to join and get it going. Glad to be here.......
Blessings to all of you :-)

Hello Everyone, Newbie here, but have been lurking and watching all the foalings for a while. I do not have any horses of my own but I sure do love them. I raise and breed Weimaraners (almost horse like ). Born and raised in N.J. but have been living in S.C. for almost 30 years. My husband died in the 9/11 tragedy at the WTC so I have been going it alone with my 3 children. I get so excited when I watch a new foaling I cry, laugh and jump for joy, so I needed another outlet to express my feelings. Don't be surprised if I get on here with all my excitement to express my joy!

Hello all. My name is Linda and live in Southwest Arkansas. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, until 3 1/2 years ago when I met my Husband. ( Yes, I met him on line, and it was one of the best things that's ever happened to me. He's wonderful!! ) Now so far from home, here I am. I love it here, but miss my Mother, all my family, friends, son and grandkids something awful. We have a 90 acre cattle ranch, but after raising new born calves for one reason or another I decided it was time to do something I wanted to do. I stopped by wee little minis one day. I just fell in love with Marion's horses. I got my first one, 31 inch Delijah and was already bred, and within 2 weeks decided she needed another one for company. Thats when I bought Thumper, my now stallion that will be 2 in April. He's so little, around 29-30 inches I know he'll make a good stud. I've since then got 7 more to add to my little herd. We had two baby's last summer, and expecting 2 more really soon now from my new mares. These mares are from the rescue that was in Tenn I bought last November. We have gotten our large barn all sit up now for Mini's with 36 inch stalls and I'm so happy about that. I have one son, Brian and he's given me 4 beautiful grandchildren. Two girls and Two boys. The oldest girl just turned 10 and the next girl was 9 yesterday, March 3rd. The boys will be 4 & 6 next May. They are all the love of my life. We have 6 dogs, 10 barn cats, around 90 cows and calves, 2QH mares, one love bird and my 9 Mini's. I ran across mare stare last year and what a blessing that was for me. Such wonderful people on here and have made some good friends. I've never ask a question that hasn't gotten some answers back very fast. Thank you all for the help in my time of need with those. Thank you Heather and farm, ranchers and horse lovers for giving us the privilege of watching the miracle of birth. Heather, you have did an awesome job and I know that I couldn't keep up with all you do here on your site. Thank you all, and God Bless
