Hey, I'm new, but I might can help. You've said before that butter was bred to her dad. First question is, have you asked your vet about genetic defects that may cause problems with the foal? This is a serious question that needs to be answered. About mare's standing up, you shouldn't worry about that because almost all mares are down on the ground pushing and foal down there all most all of the time. Just because a few on this board has had some experiences with it doesn't put your horse at greater risk . But the vet coming out to check her would be a big help!!! He could tell you if the foal is in position for a safe delivery.

I believe we had a Mare Stare Cam owner that just had a mare foal standing up. They simply caught the foal, so try to make sure you're there.
Again - I don't know your situation (geographic location) but if there are ANY other large animal vets around I'd be looking for one to come out. And it never hurts to have another opinion.
Best wishes....hugs and prayers.

Yea there is a very good new update. Butter was walking around all last nite and then around 2:20 she layed down and again exactly an hour later then after that like between 15-20 mins after that she was laying down and getting up non stop. So we are thinking that today is the day. Pray for me and my family because my mom and dad said that I get to help butter out when she is having it. So be praying for a very easy birth for us and butter.

Loose stool is one of the signs of imminent foaling. Make sure she's been drinking enough so she doesn't dehydrate. We're excited for you. Wish we could help you watch.
